Understanding the sustainability of processes, products and services
Today, sustainability is a project prerequisite that is shared by both product design and visual communication. The Sustainability and Design module, which the course is part of, guides students along a path to acquire technical and design knowledge, training designers capable of reading the project through the lens of environmental, social and economic sustainability.
Over the years, the course has involved various companies on an international scale in the analysis of different packaging categories: in 2008 the Eco-Packaging Observatory was set up, which gave rise to a permanent exhibition-catalogue entitled "Nudi o Vestiti? Communicating with Packaging".
