Systemic Design for the organisational implementation of social enterprises

Challenge

The proposal to apply Systemic Design to the context of social enterprises aims to push towards a paradigm shift in the conception of business organisation, understood as a dynamic reality, based on forms of collaboration in which people care about the project and which allow the development of a sustainable and adaptable working reality.

Results

The research aims to contribute to opening up new application scenarios for Systemic Design. The project scope concerns social enterprises and their organisational implementation in order to achieve an optimised management of information flows and to be able to co-design the internal structure so as to guarantee a sustainable growth path. The end result will be tools for the implementation of new management and organisational models. The tools will be tested in European and national case studies.

Notes

The questions the doctoral research aims to answer are:

-Can design approach business organisational processes and what contributions can this application bring to the business organisation?

-How can Systemic Design intervene in solving organisational problems in a social enterprise?

-What is the added value that the application of Systemic Design can provide in a process of organisational change aimed at fulfilling a social mission?
